Montecristo Grand Edmundos - 2010 SBN box of 10 cigars These cigars are manufactured using leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region that have been aged for an additional two years. The distinctive dark (Maduro) wrapper leaves of these cigars are taken from the top of the shade grown tobacco plants that, when cured, naturally turns darker due to the higher concentration of oils and sugar in the leaf. This gives a cooler smoke (the darker the tobacco leaf the cooler it burns) and the high sugar content adds a hint of sweetness to the cigar.
