The Montecristo name comes from Alexandre Dumas’ novel ‘The Count of Montecristo,’ which was read by the lector to the Torcedores (cigar makers) at the factory, he also read the daily news which from 1960 meant reading the Granma goverment newspaper, the only newspaper allowed after the revolution’s success in 1959.

This cigar, has that typical Montecristo profile.
A rich smooth smoke with a hint of spice, and cedar, develops in strength and flavour as it smokes into a rich slightly nutty finish.

A Medium spicy cigar, the most famous and popular Cuban cigar, with hints of Cinammon and Cedar and a Cocoa finish.
An excellent cigar, enjoy on its own or with a good Malt.
